Irish language classes

Registration for our Autumn term of Irish language classes is now open. Classes will take place for a 10 week term from 7:00pm - 9:00pm each Wednesday evening starting on 11th September 2019. 

There will also be a beginners class each Saturday morning for 10 weeks from 11:00am - 1:00pm starting on the 14th September 2019. 

Fosta, beidh rang do thosaitheoirí ar siúl gach maidin Sathairn ar feadh 10 seachtain ó 11:00am - 1:00pm. 

Total Beginners:  Our Total Beginners’ class is perfect for those who have never learnt any Irish before and would like to give it a try. This class is the ideal foundation to your language journey, starting out with simple words and phrases.

Beginners:  Ideal for anyone who has a cúpla focal but is more or less starting out. Here you will develop your knowledge of Irish, and learn how to form basic sentence contractions and answer simple conversational questions.

Intermediate:  This level is best suited to those who have moved on from the beginner stage and are starting to build confidence with Irish. In these classes, you will learn to form some more complex sentence constructions and expand your vocabulary in Irish.

Advanced:  This level is perfect for those who are already quite confident with their Irish, and would like to build on basic fluency and develop their language skills. Our advanced class is all about putting the skills you have learned to use and continuing to build on them more independently.

Tutors will be available from 6.00pm on the night of registration to help you decide which level you feel is best suited to your skills.
