Book Launch: Revivalism and Modern Irish Literature

A new book, by Maynooth professor Fionntán de Brún, traces the phenomenon of revivalism back to its origins and argues that rather than concentrating solely on the specific historical revivals we need to examine revivalism as part of the history of ideas. The book, ‘Revivalism and Modern Irish Literaure’, begins by defining revivalism within the history of ideas and shows how these ideas have been developed in Irish literature over the past four centuries.
