Aodán Mac Póilín passed away in the the winter of 2016. In this collection of essays, written between 1990 and 2011, he discusses many aspects of the often thorny issue of the Irish language in the North of Ireland. The essays reveal his scholarship, his sense of humour and his lifelong commitment to the language.
