James Joyce's The Dead has inspired and haunted generations with it's beauty. Autobiographical in nature, The Dead leaves us with Gabriel (Joyce) standing watching the snow fall over Dublin having been informed of his wife fondness for a young man who passed away in her youth.
In reality, Joyce driven mad by jealousy travelled for two days to stand over the boys grave. Writing "She Weeps Over Rahoon" about the subject. Beyond The Dead is a fiction about the two day journey.
