Crann na Beatha

This exhibition, which opened in the Ballaí Bána gallery upstairs in the Cultúrlann on 26 March, showcases the work that emerged from an art workshop with ‘Crann go Beatha’ men’s shed group, and Cultúrlann. The workshops were facilitated by artist Stephen Millar. The students took their inspiration from the work of Gerard Dillon. This was part of a larger project with Arts for All, exploring the work of local Belfast Artists. The exhibition continues until 19 April.

The artists of the Múscraí Gaeltacht have carved out an international reputation for themselves and this month Dánlann Dillon hosts their first Belfast exhibition. Featuring landscapes, abstract art, glass work, sculpture and installations, this exhibition is a must see. Runs from 30 April to 4 June in Dánlann Dillon.

In a season of song, one of the highlights on the Cultúrlann programme will be the launch of the ‘Aon Teanga’ CD on 25 May. Seán Ó hÉanaigh

Seán has been playing and composing music since he was young. He was a member of well-known Galway band Roudledum, which played throughout the west in the 80s. He then formed the band Éinniú in 1990 and they released an album of the same name in 1992 on the Cló Iar-Chonnacht label (CIC). Breabach
